Soon as I started watching I was about to die of laughter from the extra large Lacoste stitching from the "Drake" actor. Too funny.

Out of all his videos, this video was my all time favorite. I used to do all the dance steps with my uncoordinated ass. You couldn't tell me I couldn't dance when this video dropped. I believe I got in trouble a few times for beating up my lil brother when he got in the way. lol

FEATURE: NEMO ACHIDA x "DEDICATION"
Ran across this in my inbox. He's already got front page featuring on HipHopDX and this is some #GREATHIPHOP. Did I mention he's from my old Kentucky home?
Lexington, Kentucky's Nemo Achida makes his debut with this visual from his "Goodbye Brooklyn" EP, which is available for DOWNLOAD HERE.
In his words: "6 months ago I left my family, friends, & relationship back in Kentucky on the pursuit of opportunity. During this period I was inspired, enlightened, & BROKEN. One thing realized is that, you don't know what you're missing until you're standing around those who have it. New York City has always been associated with the conquering of dreams, while Brooklyn specifically associated with the greatest MC's. This tape is about Lyrical-growth. All of the music compiled on this 15 minute tape are moments, exaggerations, & extremes from my life, a journal even. I didn't create this for "hype" or "buzz", I wanted to document my experience....& rap just so happens to be my only outlet."

YUNG LA DISSES T.I & YOUNG DRO @ M.E MUSIC WORKS STUDIOS
No, you read it correctly.
Yung LA is remembered for his verse on the radio and club single "Aint I". It peaked at the number 47 spot on Billboard magazine’s Hot 100 chart and remained on the charts for 16 weeks. Many of you might even remember his infamous split from Grand Hustle earlier this year through a viral video where he obtained a pink duck tatted on his face and multiple tear drop tattoos.
His moves, his career, and his face. Cant argue with that. Now, he has his own, Crush The Block, and will be releasing a alleged 10 track mixtape entitled "Tattoos and Jewelry".
Out of all the Grand Hustle team, his main beef is with T.I for some reasons we will never know in full. I think it was the lack of support for a project after his bust into the scene from the single "Aint I". It appears that there was no other bad blood from any other label mates, but like always, there is always that one person that has something extra to say about a situation. I came across this video from another Grand Hustle member:
SMH. I decided to research Inday. I found his Twitter and he's "313 ENT./GRANDHU$TLE PARTYS EVENTS BOOKING CONCERTS A&R" (Follow him @DAGREATINDAY)
The video confirms my earlier guess about a release dispute with his label.
So whats Yung LA response?
He recorded "What I be Doing", which disses T.I and Young Dro, in the Down East, at the Legion of Muzik's Main Event Studio on Apr 23. You know it was all captured on footage.
Let's see where Yung LA takes us this Summer!

R.I.P BETTY X
14 years ago today, Dr. Betty Shabazz (also known as Dr. Betty X), the wife of Malcolm X, died three weeks after results from injuries rescuing her grandson (also named Malcolm).
I remember it like yesterday. In 1997 I was in 5th grade and that was one of my years I had a phase for the love of the Muslim nation. My best friend was Chris Smith and I used to study with him and his family. I read the "Final Call" papers like it was a regular newspaper and I had contacted the Malcolm X college in Chicago and constantly wrote them because I "knew" that's the school I wanted to go to after High School. I wasn't even in Middle School yet. #TrueStory
Apparently the story was that her daughter, Qubilah" was arrested for conspiring to assassinate Louis Farrakhan. Betty took in her grandson Malcolm and he somehow set the house on fire. Betty went in the buring house to save him and was badly injured. Endign with her death June 23, 1997.

DEDICATION: FREE BUJU BANTON
Today (6.23) Buju Banton was sentenced to 10 years in Federal Prison for conspiracy charges. Many people close to me tweeted me or posted on my wall the news links and I even got texts about it. My love for music grew on Reggae. I have this infamous picture of my baby brother and I in Italy where Im listening to a cassette player and it was a Bob Marley tape. From the day i could pick things up I always picked up my fathers cassette player or his tapes. My father got me attached to reggae, my mother allowed it to play around me and reggae was the 1st genre of music i feel in love with.
One of the most played reggae artists was Buju Banton. His voice, the lyrics, I grew to understand what he was saying. While my friends, from back then and even now, would pick on how it sounded like he wasn't saying any words, I actually heard each and every word. I understood the dialect in a matter of time.
I basically just wrote this article for the dedication and support to one of my favorite artists. This song below is the song I think many of his fans will relate to what he's going through right now:
and this one:
They're giving him time served so he should only have to do 6 years. Just another aspect of our gov't system. I've read about murderers and child molesters from out of Florida get less time. Below are 2 of his most popular songs in Jamaica and the one that he is most known for here in the States:
This was the follow up song:
We all know him for these 2 popular songs:

EXCLUSIVE: SEQUENCE - "BACK TO THE CAC" MIXTAPE PREMIERE
Many of you barely know him, many of you salute him, many of you are fans, and many of you are just becoming fans.
Today (6.22) Sequence dropped his first official mixtape/ep and he released it for his fans for FREE including the single that's been keeping my girls and I hips moving no matter where we are-- #TRUESTORY If it comes on in Food Lion- we're gonna dance. If it came on in Citi Trends, we mos def gonna dance. lol
Out of 5 stars, I'll give it 3.5. I want to give it 4, although, because I like the vibe and party mode of every track but, it didn't have it enough tracks for me and I would love to hear more variety of production and more collaborations. For this to just now be his first project tho, it actually does deserve the attention it is getting.

Jackass Star Ryan Dunn dies in a not so jackass incident. RIP
"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn was killed early today (June 20) in a fiery car crash. He was 34.
Dunn, a daredevil who gained notoriety for diving into a sewage tank and performing other unsavory stunts, was driving his 2007 Porsche in suburban Philadelphia when it careened off the road, flipped over a guardrail and crashed into the woods before bursting into flames. A passenger, Zachary Hartwell, 30, of West Chester, Pa., was also killed, and speed may have been a factor in the crash, West Goshen Township police said.
The force of impact shattered the vehicle into several twisted and blackened pieces, leaving the Porsche 911 GT3 unrecognizable except for a door that was thrown from the crash and not incinerated. A 100-foot-long tire skid marked where the car left the roadway.
Both Dunn and Hartwell were severely burned. Police said they were able to identify Dunn through his tattoos and hair.
Dunn appeared on MTV shows "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam" and the three "Jackass" big-screen adaptations. He also was the star of his own MTV show, "Homewrecker," and just began hosting the show "Proving Ground" on the G4 cable network.
G4 spokesman Dave Welch said "Proving Ground," which premiered June 11 with the second episode slated to air Tuesday, was being pulled for now until the network can discuss the show's future.
Dunn's longtime friend and fellow "Jackass" daredevil Johnny Knoxville tweeted on Monday afternoon, "Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy."

RE-RELEASE: DERTY DEN x J. COLE x "BUN B FOR PRESIDENT"
Beyond Race Magazine dropped an issue with J. Cole on the cover in late 2009. One of the highlight topics was the "Top 50 Emerging Artists". On that list was, obviously, was J. Cole at number 1 and 7 spots behind him was Derty Den at number 8. Another thing you might not know was that BRM was the ONLY magazine to give a claim that J. Cole was next to blow in 2010. (They also said Drake was next artist to blow in 2009). Read article on Derty Den in BRM 2010 HERE.
Read feature on J. Cole in BRM 2009 HERE.
Its almost 3rd Qtr 2011 and J. Cole is steadily living up to that title. He's struggled with major criticism, not only from myself, but from his fans and the state of NC, he is still proving to be an artist that will not quit without a fight. So goes the same with Derty Den. I know what you're thinking, and although I work for him, im never biased about his music. He would even tell you that. I'll let him and any artist know if I hear something "wack". Although there is no major record label behind Derty Den's name like J. Cole, doesn't mean they aren't constantly contacting him and watching him on the radar. Just like Cole, the pressure is just as strong and just as stressful. Welcome to the Entertainment Business.
Check out this remix of "Bun B for President" from J. Cole f/ Derty Den. If was released on Den's 4 installment that dropped September 2010. A week after Derty Den brought home Best Male Artist in one of the South Easts largest Music Summits and Awards show, the SMES. It was never released as a single but im releasing it for momentum value. Why? Because as a fan of them both it was pretty interesting that they both released tracks from their upcoming albums on the same day (June 15 2011). Derty Den 1st with "Get It In" on SheBloggin and J. Cole with "Work Out" on Twitter. Den's first release from Limitless was leaked on AllHipHop, "Crazy".

SRA WTF: 50 Cent S- Curl? #PAUSE
There aren't many words for these pictures except "PAUSE". From what I researched, he first had it around April up until recently for a movie he's filming with FOrest Whitaker called "Freelancers"...
I had seen that picture before, so i was like, "oh ok. He's doing a movie". This isn't the first time he has altered his look into some fucked up shit (like the super skinny body frame he had back in the day). TODAY I came across this pic which sources told me was done by Funk Flex lol...
I actually read he MIGHT be the spokesperson for the S-Curl company... but that's just a rumor- ALLEGEDLY! lol Check out this other picture I seen. This picture is like ULTIMATE PAUSE...
ROTFLMAO... This TOPS the Shawty Lo deal...

LEAK ALERT: DERTY DEN x "GET IT IN"
Here's the track that was first premiered on my fellow blogger (and fellow KY native) w/ SheBloggin. This is the 2nd release off the "Limitless" Album set to drop on July 22, 2010
LEAK ALERT: Strike Is Over: J. COLE x "Work Out"
I was on a blog stirke along with my boy over at "Notoriety Being A Nobody" from J. Cole postings but I like this song-- ALTHOUGH his sound sounds too much Kanye West. (My opinion) This is the 3rd song I've heard from him where he sounded as to mimic Kanye's style. (Only a big Kanye fan would hear the familiarization tho.) #FuckYourFeelings
So with that said The Strike is over... and why not on the anniversary of "The Warm Up". J.Cole drops a single to his debut album, which said to release in September... Yea... 3 months from now. But we shall see! He allegedly tweeted this release according to my sources. Just realized he dropped a single THE SAME DAY Derty Den dropped another one of his singles earlier today on SheBloggin called "Get It In".... #CRAZY lol

SRA EXCLUSIVE: NAS x "NASTY"
I heard this track earlier today and just got around to post it but I knew I HAD TO post this track. It's said to be his first single off the long, long, long anticipated album. The title to me was like, "wow, wonder what this shit is", but from the very 1st word to the very last adlib on this track, my attention was all on this. This song is so official, so Hip Hop, so refreshing, so orgasmic- yes, orgasmic.
Back in September of last year (2010) Nas informed us that "Lost Tapes 2" was on hold due to some label issues and new music.
Now we're expecting "Life is Good". Honestly, Im confused but one thing is for sure, I don't really think he's one of the artists that will loose fans due to the anticipation but he damn sure is energizing the Hip Hop community with this release today and I for one is officially on the waiting list on Amazon for the album soon as its available.
Chk out "Nasty" below:
Here's his most recent interview with "Sucker Free":

SRA LEAK ALERT: "WE BE" x GOOD VIBE
I usually never automatically check out links that are posted on my wall or sent to my IM unless I'm not busy emailing or typing and when I occasionally do I love when its great music. Not good, GREAT. Late last week, local artist Travis Stokes hit me up with an IM with a link. He's introduced himself to me a while back and is a potential client already.
My biz partner and I had been outside on laptops chillin & working when I clicked this link expecting some regular good music. We looked at each other and said "Damn" at same time.
Aside from the fact it's got #RewindValue the hook is catchy and stayed in our head all day. That can be a good thing and a bad thing but everything about this song gives me chills and makes me wanna get up and dance.
Chk it out
SRA ALERT: BETTIE GRIND x ANSWERS WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.
A typical person will criticize anything, anyone, at any time. Criticism is a part of our daily lives and the feedback from it, whether negative or positive, created our social lives. Criticism is also often confused for “hate”. If you tell someone your opinion about their outfit, they may say, “You just a hater”. In all actuality, you’re merely criticizing the way they paired their clothing. Haters will disagree to that statement, but that’s why you’re labeled the way you are. What matters is, this is the society we have known and learned to adapt and accept it.
I came across an artist in 2009 while running coordination and registration for an Industry night here in Greenville, NC. This artist’s name was Bettie Grind. Yea, exactly what I thought. Once you learn the meaning behind it you’ll change your view (unless you’re a hater). So, I’m organizing time slots and running around getting the club ready when this tall, lanky light skin artist with shades on comes through with his entourage and introduces himself to me very respectful and professional. I immediately critique his introduction, from his cool ass walk through the foyer to his observant “out of town” stance later that night. His performance was great. In fact, I was relieved because he had come out to the heart of E-NC from Queen City to our open mic and not only got love from the crowd but gave it back.
What better of a time to interview this artist with the controversial name and low key fame then now? I’ve been in many posts, forums and comment threads where his name comes up. The critics want to know one thing and the haters only care about another. How about I just ask him what matters.
"Dammit, I'm---" he write a lot lol
1. You’re real heavy in Charlotte and have a nice grip on the fan base out in your area, how do you feel about other portions of Carolina who might not know who you are?
The Carolinas are an extremely large space in the southern market for hip hop. To be recognized as a celebrity in Charlotte, Columbia, Greensboro, etc. is a wonderful feeling. I do have to establish myself a bit more in every area especially Raleigh and Fayetteville. But, locking the biggest city in the Carolinas Charlotte, N.C, is huge! It's something no one before me has done and something I will be forever remembered for. Some established artist haven't had the success I have achieved in Charlotte and surrounding cities in the Carolinas. So honestly, I'm happy with my space here but trust me I'm working everyday to further secure my space in other Carolina markets. As we speak I have TV commercials running daily on BET, MTV, VH1, OXYGEN, BRAVO, and the Nickelodeon channel in the Carolinas and Georgia to expand the awareness of Bettie Grind and his music.
2. Do you have any plans to do a tour or more shows to spread your music out around the state? Why or why not?
I do have plans to expand my music around the Carolinas. I look at the Carolinas as one state so forgive me if I don't answer your questions based solely on North Carolina. I share a leading role in both states and I'm supported by both. As I stated previously I'm running commercials daily on TV to expose my new single CIROC MONEY (HELLO!) produced by Drumma Boy to the market. This is a promotional and marketing tactic I have used with my 3 prior singles and helped me gain a name in cities I may not be able to frequent as often as I would like. I also have a viral campaign going on as well as multiple mixtapes in the streets with various DJ's. I also plan to do a mini tour throughout the Carolinas building up to the release date of my upcoming street album and DVD "T.G.F.C."
3. People criticize you about your last single “Damnit Im Fly” because of its extended promotion, why was it used as your single for so long?
Dammit I'm Fly was my label Hood Supastar's baby so to speak. We pushed that record until we couldn't anymore. That record received national attention which was a first for an independent artist from the Carolinas. Dammit I'm Fly is still receiving BDS spins to date, # years later. Dammit I'm Fly had over 5000 BDS spins and put me on the stage with the likes of many established artist. It also crossed me over to a white audience and demographic which was great. Dammit I'm Fly went into rotation on over 40 national stations and then came back a year later only to do the same thing. You tell me any song that has done that? I had a premier DJ tell me a week ago "Bettie, Dammit I'm Fly could come back to radio right now! You want to know what your problem is Bettie? Your music is ahead of its time!" So to some it was out too long, but to a lot it wasn't out long enough. The people wanted to see that song go to the top of radio as well as video. It served its purpose though... It branded Bettie Grind! It was a song that no one expected a Carolina artist to be able to make... a HIT! Not locally, but nationally.
4. Name one thing the Carolina’s should know about you that they don’t know.
The Carolinas should know what you have seen is only the beginning. This movie hasn't started yet. We are only on the opening credits. Hood Supastar is a movement. This story is being penned as the pages turn.
5. You’ve been hittin the scene since 2004-05, according to your website, and you have released 5 projects and 9 mixtape projects and/or features. Which one means the most and which one should be in my collection?
They all should be in your collection. You can't no where I'm going unless you know where I've come from. I make hits and some say I'm the best here to do it but... I am the best at what I do. The words and songs I make... with every verse you hear from Bettie Grind is pure beauty. You hear truth, somehow squeezed into the smallest of bars and blended into 16 or maybe sometimes 32 bar verses of picture perfect perfection. A lot of people won't appreciate Bettie Grind until he's gone... The categories of artist they place me in I never belonged in. If the people took a minute to listen to "G'S US is coming" then "I AM HE... G'S US" and now "THE LEAK" they would see the carolinas is only a word used to limit this guys talents. I can not be compared or balloted for votes with anyone from my home. Bettie Grind is one of one. T.G.F.C. will tell you all you need to know about Bettie Grind or as much as you need to answer your questions or dissolve the lies told in 70 minutes of perfection.
6. In 2010 there was a lot of rage and allegations that you didn’t want to work with other artists and that you charge high feature prices, is this true? What is the criteria that you base your price?
First of all I did over 30 features for established artist in the Carolinas. You can find them on my mixtapes or twiturm. That is a lie. Yes we do charge for a Bettie Grind feature to most. my colleagues or friends I don't charge but for most we do. My brand cost 100's of thousands of dollars of my money to brand. This is the brand artist want to help establish them as someone to watch. This is why people get features from established artist. They are paying for a cosign and to gain our fan base. Why would I give my fan base away free when I spent real dollars to attain it and traveled the country to secure it? That would make no sense. I base my price off my demand in the market the artist is in as well as my expenses to record it. Bettie is worth every red cent and if you feel differently that's cool it won't take the steak off my Ruth Chris's plate. I'm good.
7. Why don’t we see you doing more collaborations in general?
Everyone hasn't gained the respect of a collabo with me. Not to say they won't but some collabo's can hurt your standings in hip hop. Like why did Bettie do that feature with dude he's wack! Sometimes we turn down a couple bands just because the artist is bad or because his quality isn't of industry standards.
8. You’re not a controversial artist yet you’re not the “All American” humble artist neither, who is Bettie Grind and why does your city love you so much?
I think my city loves me because I love them. They know I'm pushing for us! They want to see me win because they know if Bettie wins and gets that big deal he won't forget where he is from like every artist before. They know Bettie Grind bleeds Carolina Blue whether he's at home or another planet. As far as who is Bettie Grind??? I think the entire world is asking that question. Is he gang affiliated, drug related, who is he connected with? Just know this guy is more than you have ever seen and his story is his own just like BMF, Roc A Fella, YMCMB, etc. Just listen to the music it isn't just something cool to say when I say it, IT IS MY LIFE.
9. Why haven’t you been picked up by any labels? Do you think it’s the “Carolina shackles”?
I haven't been signed because of many reasons. Do they matter? NO. I'm not signed. Whether I turned down deals, didn't have enough web presents, they want to know who my street connects are, I'm from the black hole (The Carolinas) as the labels call it, or if I'm just plain out wack! It doesn't matter why it only matters when! When I do it will be unlike any other deal ever to come out of the Carolinas. Just know they know Bettie don't need their money! They know they gotta come with a check! And it ain't gonna be what I have in one of my safe's. That advance money is only money to niggas who just rappin this shit. I'm living this shit. I already live like ball players do. Fuck would I sign for some shit I can get myself!
10. Was your release of “Ciroc Money” intended for possible endorsements from the liquor company?
No. If they want me they can hire me but I made the song because I drink it and my team really does have a lot of Rose' and Ciroc Money (laughs)
11. Give me the run down! What’s next for Bettie this summer?
This summer.... Just watch out for Ciroc Money (HELLO!) it just hit #18 on the internet radio charts in two days as the fastest growiing record and stay tuned for T.G.F.C. Also, watch out for a new series of mixtapes entitled the "Bugatti Bettie" series. Hood Supastar is the movement. Bettie Grind is the voice. HELLO!
So there you have it. I learned he's going through the same thing with labels as many artists from this market are going through and it'll be a while before the labels take that title off our state so that's nothing new. I also learned this guy puts his commercials on NICKELODEON. Lol. Now that's funny but still very good exposure. I gotta give him his props. Look forward to gettin more exclusives from him. Meek Mill, Rick Ross & Swizz beats bring Reebok Back
It wasnt enough to just bring Tupac back, they had to bring back a shoe. Thanks guys for taking away all the respect for that song by remixing it to bring back a shoe. Lol. I guess you can say this is great branding and a good move on Reebok but, how is this really lookin for Swizz Beats? Guess I'll stsy tuned. I say, "shout out to Reebok" but Swizz, "come one son?" Look at them? No cool points for you on this design.
Yes. They even remixed the song. I swear if I go into FootAction and they bumpin this, they will loose my business lol. I mean, they all could've just made their own shoe brand as much money they be blowin.... #imjussayin
