I remember when I first heard Curren$y back in 2005. He was just another Cash Money tag along rapping along side Weezy as Weezy was making his first chess move in Hip Hop domination. I didn't think much of him. I didn't think he'd be a star. I thought he'd fade away like many of Cash Money's rappers. I thought Mack Maine would turn out to be the better rapper. He eventually left Cash Money choosing to find his own path in the industry. His timing was terrible! Cash Money would begin a reign of terror, an all out assault on sales charts and radio airplay just as Curren$y left the nest. A funny thing happened next! Curren$y began carving out a niche for himself underground. Once "the next up" on the hottest commerically successful record label, he began to attract indie and underground fans who probably would have NEVER liked him under the arm of Birdman and Wayne. Fast forward to today, Spitta has become one of the most loved artist of the genre from shear hardwork and orginality. Salute to Curren$y and all the MCs who strike out to find there own path and create their own lanes. Curren$y now returns to the overground to link up with his old boss, Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy. The song entitled Don't Miss This Jet is a smooth, laid back, smoke a L to this type track with amazing production from Big K.R.I.T.
