Life ain't fair sometimes! Max B loses his appeal case. Eligible for parole 2042
Reported by Kazeem Famuyide (@RealLifeKaz) and HipHopWired.com
Bad news for Max Biggavelli. An appeals court has upheld the murder conviction and 75-year sentence given to Max B for his role in a 2006 robbery at a Fort Lee hotel which turned deadly. Max B, real name Charly Wingate,
had argued that the Bergen County Superior Court judge who tried his
case had erred by not granting a request to separate it from that of his
accomplice, Kelvin Leerdam.

**NEWS** @BeanieSigelSP was arrested Wednesday AM (8/29) almost TWO WEEKS before he is to report to prison for 2 years!!!
Early Wednesday morning Pennsylvania state police arrested rapper Beanie Sigel and a friend on gun and drug charges following a traffic stop on I-95 in Tinicum Township, according to an ABC news affiliate.
Around 3:14 a.m., troopers pulled over a Ford Fusion driven by Gerald Andrews for following another car too closely and swerving out of his lane. beanie Sigel was the only passenger in the car.In a search of the vehicle, troopers found numerous prescription bottles, several pills wrapped in plastic bags in a cigarette pack and a small amount of marijuana on Gerald Andrews.
Police say they also found a bottle of codeine syrup with the label scratched off and $4,650 in cash on Beans. They also found a gun in the center counsel.Beanie Sigel and Gerald Andrews are convicted felons and are not allowed to possess firearms.

SMH!!! Porn industry shut down because Mr. Marcus hid positive syphilis results.
Report By
Rheana Murray
/
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
An X-rated film star in Los Angeles admits he contracted syphilis and doctored his test results, just before an STD scare temporarily shut down the porn industry.
The porn actor, who uses the name Mr. Marcus, told trade journal Adult Video News (AVN) he went to his personal doctor when he felt sick on July 11. The doctor ran tests, and the next day learned Mr. Marcus tested positive for syphilis. The following day, he was given a penicillin shot and told to abstain from sex.
“My personal doctor doesn’t know what I do for a living,” Mr. Marcus told the website. “So his thing was just don’t have any sex for 7-10 days. Once I did that shot I felt pretty confident. Every doctor I talked to up to that point said, ‘You get the shot. That’s it.’”
Although subsequent testing showed syphilis was still in his system, 11 days after he received treatment, on July 24, Mr. Marcus shot a sex scene. He says the producer didn’t check his name in the Talent Testing Service (TTS) database, only asked to see a physical proof of his test results.

Mr. Marcus showed the producer a copy on his cell phone, but admits he
hid the part that showed he had tested positive for syphilis. “I showed that my HIV was clear, my gonorrhea and chlamydia were fine,”
he told AVN. “You didn’t see the syphilis part of the test because of
the way I showed it.” Mr. Marcus says he doesn’t think he did anything wrong — even though he
had a sexually transmitted disease when he had sex with other
performers.
“I don’t feel that was a mistake,” he said. “I was treated. I allowed the medicine to take effect, and I wanted to proceed as normal. I wanted to go back to work as usual.” Mr. Marcus also admits he doctored test results he received from TTS to give to his “Blazing Bucks” director. The director thought the test looked suspicious, prompting an investigation into Mr. Marcus’ health. “I tried to cover it up,” he told AVN. “I didn’t want to have to share that part because it was like the Scarlet Letter. Because then it’s like Mr. Marcus, syphilis?” He says he came clean after reports surfaced this week of a syphilis outbreak among porn performers, prompting a 10-day halt in filming so more than 1,000 actors could get tested. All of Mr. Marcus partners have tested negative for syphilis, but the AP reports there are at least nine other cases of syphilis.

[NEW VIDEO]: HOT SINGLE FROM @BOBATL F/ THE INFAMOUS @NIKKIMINAJ X "OUTTA MY MIND" #BANGA
How do you go from wishing you had a wish with a cute lil white girl harmonizing to ripping a track with America's most criticized about female rapper?
Shit, I don't know but if I find a rapper that can, i'm definitely a fan. (That rhymed lol). VERSATILITY! I don't need to say much. B.O.B. killed this track. Really showed off his lyricism and Nikki basically slaps her critics in the face with her rhymes. Whether you like it or not, they both are rappers but don't disown them JUST because they can do Pop music too. It's called "the business". #

[FEATURE]: SUPPORT PITTSBURGH MUSIC @MeCHRISmitchell x "DIFFERENT" OFFICIAL VIDEO
Sent in through the Twitter Network. Soon as I clicked the link I said, "I bet this is an intellectual rapper because he put periods between his letters". LOL In fact, it was better than what I thought it was going to be. Video was simple but supported his whole "Support Pittsburgh" campaign and he actual rapped with emotion. Without hype men. Except with his ethically diverse couch scenes. In a nut shell, dude is dope as hell. I love dudes who put thought and lyricism in their ideas and music. Check it out.

Club where @ChrisBrown and @Drake fought files $16 million lawsuit against them!!! DAMNNNN!!!
New York Daily News is reporting that the owners of Greenhouse, the club that shares space, owners and a liquor license with W.I.P bar, have filed a $16 million lawsuit against Chris Brown and Drake. The lawsuit stems from a brawl involving the two artists on June 14th. The highly publicized brawl included bottles being thrown, an injury to NBA San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker for which he filed a $20 million lawsuit, several injured patrons and a temporary loss of the venue's liquor license. Their liquor license has since been restored and the club has returned to business.
NYPD and Manhattan District Attorney's office are still investigating the brawl but have not file any criminal charges. Members of both artist's entourages are listed in the lawsuit but only referred to as John Doe.
New York Daily News reported ealier today that, "...the lawsuit, brought by Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., which owns the Greenhouse name, alleges they were directly involved. Brown and Drake “began to fight violently with each other,” according to papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. “Each ordered his security personnel, bodyguards, friends and entourage to join the fight.” Witnesses said bottles were shattered so they could be used as weapons, and patrons started throwing glasses full of booze. The brouhaha started after Brown sent Drake a bottle of champagne — and Drake sent it back, prompting someone to start tossing ice cubes."

Alledgedly the fight stems from both artist involvement with R&B songstress Rihanna. Both artist have been tight-lipped about the subject in interviews. However, Chris Brown did hop in the studio and record a verse about his feeling about Drake after the fight. CLICK HERE TO HEAR CHRIS BROWN'S FREESTYLE DISSING DRAKE

Worst week EVER for Chad Johnson continues... @EvelynLozada files for divorce from @Ochocinco today!!!
Chad Johnson should have never married her I guess. After the domestic dispute that transpired last weekend, VH1 Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada has decided to call it quits. The couple married on July 4th and the marriage lasted about as long as a online college class session. According to TMZ.com...
"...Evelyn Lozada filed legal docs moments ago in Florida, claiming her marriage is "irretrievably broken."
The trigger for the divorce was the domestic violence incident over the weekend, in which Chad Johnson was arrested after allegedly head-butting her during an argument.
Evelyn claimed she found a receipt for a box of condoms in his car.
According to the divorce docs, the couple had a prenup -- but that won't be a big deal since the marriage was shorter than Kim Kardashian's.
FYI -- Evelyn and Chad JUST got married on July 4th in St. Maarten ... and the whole ceremony was recorded for a VH1 reality show (VH1 has since pulled the plug on that ... for obvious reasons)."

Poor @Drake...Looks like @MissyElliot and @Timbaland won't be working on the new Aaliyah album.
After dropping a beautiful Aaliyah song last week, I wondered how the public would respond to Drake's involvement in an Aaliyah album. He and long time producer Noah "40" Shebib will be executive producing a new posthumous Aaliyah album. Last week, the first appetizer for that project was released, Enough Said feat: Drake. <<<LISTEN HERE
I can't even front on the song. Its fire and does the memory of Aaliyah justice. Still, eyebrows raised because none of Aaliyah closest friends/frequent collaborators had been contacted about the project. Timbaland and Missy had no clue at all!!! This blogger speculated whether Drake was playing with fire. Dropping the ball on this project is damn near career suicide. Now, if any artist and producer have a sound and style that can create a R&B mood for Aaliyah to fly in again, Drake and 40 have that formula on lock! They make great music when it comes to R&B styles.
However, Aaliyah is as near and dear to her family, friends and fans as any artist can get. Perfection is about the only thing that people will accept without calling the album a mockery in lieu of Timbaland and Missy's rumored absence. Well that rumored absence seems to be gaining validity.
Billboard's Erika Ramirez recently reported that Missy and Timbaland "will not be participating" in the Drake and Noah "40" Shebib executive produced Aaliyah album. In a statement from Mona Scott-Young, long time manager for Missy, this was reported:
"Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate. We've seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated."
Drake my dude you are playing with fire and career suicide if you foul this one up!!!

Chad Johnson @OchoCinco released by MIA after arrest for headbutting @EvelynLozada!!! She found condom receipts!!!
**UPDATE** Chad Johnson's bond was set at $2500 earlier today (8/12) and was released from jail after posting it. Unfortunately, The Miami Dolphins have decided to release Chad Johnson before the season starts due to this latest issue.
Chad Johnson, formerly Ocho Cinco, was arrested Saturday night on a domestic violence charge, a misdemeanor. His new wife, Evelyn Lozada, accused him of head-butting her while arguing in the driveway of their home outside Miami. This according to Miami-Davie police Capt. Dale Engle said.
Lozada, of VH1's "Basketball Wives" fame, was treated for a cut to her forehead. The two have only been married for a month, a week and a day. They were married on July 4th after a highly publicized relationship thanks to reality tv and tabloid.
The 34-year-old Johnson changed his last name back to Johnson from Ochocinco after marrying Evelyn Lozada. The name change was to signify a return to who was being himself and being happy. He will be held in Broward County Jail until he can appear before a judge Monday morning.
Chad Johnson's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined to comment.
Johnson and Lozada were apart of the first episode of HBO's "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Miami Dolphins." Dolphins management expressed their displeasure of Johnson's profanity. I'm sure they won't approve of this latest behavior either.
VH1's "Basketball Wives" is filmed in Miami. Lozada used to be the fiancee of NBA player Antoine Walker and dating Johnson has thrust her into pop culture's spot light. Her wedding is supposed to be part of another VH1 reality series that begins in September called, "Eve & Ocho."
The argument reported started because Lozada found a receipt for a condom wrapper in Johnson's vehicle. According to Johnson, she leaned in and both their heads hit accidentally. However, Lozada says he leaned in and headbutted her on purpose.

[OFFICIAL VIDEO]: @TRAEABN x "IM FROM TEXAS" F/ Z-RO x KIRKOBANGZ x @BUNBTRILLOG x @SLIMTHUGGA x @PAULWALLBABY
"I don't wear my britches tight.. i wear 'em loose".
This song is dope. Texas is one of the states Ive never been able to visit but its flavor of Hip Hop has always caught my attention. First off, Bun B is on it. So you it's official already. The hook is chopped and screwed and my hips will not stop moving. #Banga

[EXCLUSIVE]: @DJKHALED - "HIP HOP" F/ @NAS x SCARFACE (@BROTHERMOB) x @REALDJPREMIER
Man. What can be said about this track? What CAN'T be said!? The first rapper I grew up in love with starts off the beat. The legendary Scarface. Nas perfected the message in the song and if you are a true Hip Hop head every word in this song will be very easy to understand.

OK so @Drake is going to do this Aalyiah album right w/ her family's blessing! #Salute
According to Drake, he has obtained the blessing of Aaliyah's family, former label and former management to proceed with this new Aaliyah album. He and long time Drake producer Noah "40" Shebib will be putting the project together. There is a list of artists and producers who should be involved in the project in my opinion. Off the head, Timbaland and Missy ABSOLUTELY MUST BE ON THE ALBUM. It would be nice to have Ginuwine, the remaining members of Playa (RIP Static), Magoo and Rapture and E.Seats (produced the majority of last Aaliyah album). Drake is definitely a good choice to command this project. His R&B type style is perfect to get Aaliyah back to #1 where the angel deserves. Check out Drake's comments...

Seriously @LupeFiasco just drop it already!!! INTERVIEW w/ @MannieFresh
In 2006, I was priviledged enough to break open the plastic on this new rapper named Lupe Fiasco. I remember it like it was yesterday. The nostalgia is one of those special HipHop moments that only a HipHop head can relate to. Not to be corny, but, it was literally a beautiful bright sunny day in September and I was cruising up I-95 with the sunroof open. I was on my way to a studio in Newport News, VA with my two homies Irv and Tim. That day we had racked up on all the road-trip essentials; chips, soda, bag of weed, phillies and two CD's to ride out to. One was poet Black Ice's Death of Willie Lynch and the other was this new skateboard kid named Lupe.
I popped it in AFTER Black Ice's album believing the poet would be doper than the lil Kick Push nigga. Well, you know the rest if you are a Lupe fan. The shit was phenomenal!!! It was probably the dopest album to come out that year. The trip was a 3.5 hour drive. It took us 2 to 2.5 hours to finish listening to Food And Liquor. There was just THAT MUCH rewind value on the album. I was a fan ever since!
Fast-forward 6 years later! I AM GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF LUPE FIASCO!!! My feeling stem not from his music. That shit is still dope, whenever it finally drops (except Lasers uggghhh). But every time you log on to a blogsite or HipHop news site, Lupe is on a soapbox preaching about how commercialized the industry has become. How radio sucks! How main stream media sucks! How record labels suck! I miss when Lupe KNEW those elements of the business sucked and just put out dope music anyway.

[FEATURE]: 2012 BEST RAP FEMALE @LUMINAUGHTY1 x "I MADE IT" (VIDEO)
Whether you like her name or not, you cant resist the talent and beauty of one of Carolina's rising female artists. Lumi'Naughty is super sweet and on July 15 she took home the award for Best Hip Hop Female in the 2012 Carolina Music Awards. (I figured putting "Rap" instead of Hip Hop would get more attention.) I've bumped into a bunch of "who is she" and "she came out of no where" convo's and I just laugh. See, if you actually pay attention to this indie industry around here, instead looking for something new to hate, you would've been heard of her before. Hell, I've heard of her but never seen her perform live.
I eventually came across this video, produced by DK Films, and got the best of both. Her performing and it's a great song. It's rare to come across a good song and good video these days when it comes to someone I actually want to feature. The coolest thing is she served in the Marine's AND she does some modeling. #salute Read more about her and her rise to the top in one of the South's most controversial markets HERE.

Feels so good to hear new Aaliyah music! Aaliyah feat: @Drake - "Enough Said"
This song is going to be the beginning of Drake's career suicide OR his flirtation with a wonderful wave of creativity. Once you get over your Drake hate, you realize the song is beautiful. However, as it should be, its less about Drake and more about how much we miss Aaliyah and her music. I'm sure Drake knows that. And despite everything that tells me to reject these Drake/Aaliyah mixes, I'm gonna give Drizzy a chance. If he delivers us the Aaliyah fix we have longed for since her passing, I'm gonna give him his props. I WARN YOU THOUGH DRAKE!!! ANYTHING LESS THAN "INSPIRING AND CREATIVE" AND YOU WILL FOREVER BE DEMONIZED IN HIP HOP'S HISTORY BOOK.

How come nobody told me @Nas and @Common had a mixtape together? FREE DOWNLOAD from Tendjiz
Well technically Nas and Common don't have a mixtape together. However, Tendjiz locked himself in a studio and mashed up memorable Nas and Common verses and hooks over the smoothest jazz beats you could ever hear. Its one of the more dope ideas to drop this year.

HIP HOP HEADS WHERE U AT!!! Goodie Mob is BACK w/ new album Age Against The Machine...and YES @CeeLoGreen is wit em!
There was a time in Da Dirty South that lyricism flowed like moonshine into every red plastic cup of Hip Hop. Scarface, 8Ball & MJG, Outkast and Goodie Mob were the standards by with Da Souf was held to. Each song held a message and was brilliantly written and produced. Down South rappers were actually lyricists. Though much of that legacy is gone, replaced by an energetic club-banger trap-music era, through the pine trees of Atlanta, Georgia and down I-85 come champions of The Dirty South back to give you a message of the real! They are gearing up to drop their new album Age Against The Machine Goodie Mob is back!!!! STAY TUNED!!!

**NEW VIDEO** @RickyRozay drops a video for "911"
HAHAHAHAHA I woke my girl because I was sitting on the bed going ape nuts to this song. She doesn't have a problem with Rick Ross but she hates that a lot of his songs sound just like this one. I will agree. There are at least 4 songs on Teflon Don that sound like 911. There are at least 4 songs on Ashes To Ashes that sound like 911. There are at least 10 songs on both volumes of Self Made that sound like 911. BUT DAMMIT A NIGGA LIKE ME APPRECIATES THE CONSISTENCY!!! It was hot then and its hot now. I LOVE THIS SOUND NO MATTER HOW MUCH I HEAR IT!!! Now wake up and go make me a biscuit LOL

G.O.O.D Music unveils the cover art Cruel Summer Album. @KanyeWest does nothing less than genius and beautiful!!!
Kanye West always does the simplest things to evoke the most intriguing emotional responses. You are either going to say WHAT THE FUCK or FUCK THATS GENIUS. His sense of style and eyes and ears for creativity are second to none in Hip Hop. With that said, check out the album cover for Cruel Summer, the G.O.O.D Music collectives debut due out September 4th.
@LupeFiasco says 97% of Hip Hop is terrible. Do you agree???
While making an appearance on Power 105's The Breakfast Club, Lupe Fiasco was asked what he thought about the current state of Hip Hop. Lupe revealed that he thought 97% of Hip Hop is terrible. The dude seems to intelligent, though he often comes off like a pseudo-intellectual (which may be a sign of genius), so I would hope he has a criteria for coming up with that number. Even if he does have an INTELLIGENT criteria to reach that opinion, come on son, 97???
Before you Hip Hop heads go all revolutionary-in-the-mouth, I have to point out that if radio and mainstream media is your gauge for judging Hip Hop's standards you are missing the forest for the trees. I'll be the first to agree with any Hip Hop purist who says mainstream radio does zilch, zero, nada to promote the artist value of Hip Hop culture. What do you expect??? Radio is subject to corporate interest and their goal is to generate profit above all. Business is business. So by even beginning to think that the state of our culture is gauged by mainstream media you sound silly! The magazines, the television platforms like MTV, BET, and VH1 all owe its existence to corporate interest not cultural enrichment and artistic enlightenment. I am assuming that YOU (the individual reader) don't get your Hip Hop from any of these sources.
Let me be an example of what I mean! My playlist, cd player, ipad, ipod and laptop files read like this: Nas, Curren$y, Slaughterhouse, J.Cole, Kanye West, Big KRIT, Tech N9ne, Pusha T, Brother Ali, 2Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, Jadakiss, 9th Wonder, Rick Ross, old school Outkast, old school Jay-Z, old school AZ and 5 artists you haven't heard of yet because they don't have deals but they do have microphones set up in the closet. While the mainstream is clearly represented in my listening choice, most of my list consist of guys who don't chase platinum records or BDS spins. The fact that 5 artists you have never heard of (Saga, MT, Profile, Wally Clarke, Space Mane) are on my list should stick out as the major reason the majority of Hip Hop isn't terrible. These artist represent the willingness of Hip Hop to make personal choices in music without influence from radio and main stream media. BTW, Saga may be the illest MC on that entire list!!! He has no desire to be a world famous rapper but, he drops new music all the time from the comforts of his mic in the closet. You'll never ever ever hear him on 106 & Park!
The point is that THE MAJORITY of Hip Hop is just like me. They have their guilty pleasures like Rick Ross and 2Chainz that they listen to daily. I still keep up with radio because I stay abreast of what's popular as well as what's healthy food for thought. But, what I hear on the radio is only a fraction of the depth of Hip Hop. Lupe is judging Hip Hop based on the criteria of popularity. SHAME ON YOU LUPE! Artist like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Drake and 2Chainz are the popular kids but they hardly make up 97% of the culture. Fact is 97% of the culture doesn't have gold and platinum plaques. 97% of the culture doesn't have a record spinning in the top 20 of any market. 97% of the culture doesn't perform at the Billboard Awards.
Let me give you a list of artist gatlin-gun style: Curren$y, Big KRIT, Tech N9ne, Brother Ali, REKS, Jon Connor, Talib Kweli (still), Nipsey Hussle, La Coka Nostra, Sean Price, Skyzoo, Madchild, Little Brother members (reunion now please), Action Bronson, Max B (too wavy to be locked up), Trae The Truth, Chinx Drugs, Arsenal, Fashawn, Childish Gambino, Killer Mike, Mistah F.A.B, Vado, Schoolboy Q, Pill, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, J.Cole, Jean Grae, etc
My point is that our culture is rooted in tradition and artistry. That has not changed! I understand Lupe's frustration. Our foundation does not match our steeple. But, Hip Hop has reached a point where what's popular isn't what defines us. We live in an age where we get to customize our own playlist and listen to whatever we think is hot. Lupe is caught up in the industry. His frustrations with the industry lead him to believe that the industry set precedent and standard. UH UH NO WAY! The street STILL hold reins over the industry. Creative minds who can't be digested whole by the industry often reach pass the money machines of corporation and grab our attention long enough to score hit records. Ironically, Lupe is one such artist. Perhaps the problem with Lupe is that he is tired of staring at the popular kids table and not being able to sit there. Well, let Lupe know he should be in no rush to sit at a symbolic BDS spins table with YMCMB and MMG. Remain apart of the foundation.
Though I am sure Lupe will change his tune once he gets out of his contract and goes indie. I wish rappers could go all Carmelo Anthony on a record and get out of their current contractual arrangements. I digress! Tell Lupe 97% of Hip Hop isn't terrible. Its just that the top 3% make us look like idiots because they get %75 of the wealth. Hmmmmmmmm looks like I found a fundamental principle Lupe and Obama can agree on. Lupe is apart of 97% of Hip Hop. And that's a good thing!
Lupe Fiasco's Food And Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 is due out September 25

N**** SAY WHAT?!?!?!?! Weezy done went crazy! @Liltunechi is leaving rap for skateboards! [@DJDrama interview]
Lil Wayne tells DJ Drama that he is putting rap on the backburner for skateboarding. He told Drama that he is "bored" and is looking for the next thing to do. He isn't retiring completely. In fact, he and DJ Drama are dropping Dedication 4 soon.
